menopause hot flushes – how to reduce them

There are certain things that may trigger hot flushes, by trying to avoid these things you may lessen the severity or frequency of hot flushes.
Avoid eating acidic foods, especially white sugar or vinegar.
Hot weather, hot tubs, spas or heated pools and hot saunas.
Repressed anger and stress.
Hydrogenated or saturated fats
Intense exercise or things that make you hot and or sweaty
Caffeinated drinks, chocolate, tea, coffee and cola
Cayenne, Ginger, pepper and other ‘hot spicey’ foods such as curries or chillies
Tobacco or marijuana usage.
